This is my son’s joke.
The City of Ur is not really named Ur. The name is long and difficult to pronounce, so whenever anyone asks a resident of Ur where he comes from, in order to gather thoughts, the responder first says, “Ur….” It takes so long that the asker assumes he has been answered. Thus, the City of Ur.
